Marisa Morse

Before graduate school I worked on invertebrate population dynamics and fisheries off the coast of California. I am interested in the effects that pathogens and parasites have on their fish host populations and how that can influence economic value. In addition, I seek to understand how anthropogenic influences on marine biodiversity can alter the parasitic community. I hope to develop a dissertation examining the correlation between parasite diversity and marine invertebrate fisheries. This research will help focus monitoring efforts and guide management.
